Life in the desert
Life in the desert : 11 days / Senegal-Mauritania. Through this round trip we extend an invitation to you to visit the cultures and ways of life of the people from the SAHARA desert. Suggested itinerary.
Day 1
Arrival to Dakar International Airport and transfer to Brazzerade Hotel 3* or similar hotel in Dakar.
Day 2
Check out in the morning and transfer to Saint-Louis. You will have some breaks to visit Lac rose that was the finishing line of the former Paris-Dakar Rally race. After visiting the Lac rose you will drive towards Saint-Louis city. Overnight in hotel Cap Saint Louis 3* or similar.
Day 3
At 8am, departure for the tour in the SAHARA Desert in MAURITANIE, following the path of the famous rallye Paris-Dakar. Stop at Boutilimit village. Bivouac under the tents room like nomadic people.
Day 4
Visit of Boutilimit village before taking « The road of hope »which takes you through wonderful and colorful sand dunes to cities such as ALEG, MAGTA, Lahjar, SANGARAFA. When crossing the « plateaux » of LETFATAR, you will discover that typical city called MOUDJERIA surrounded by sand dunes and hills. Bivouac.
Day 5
You take your time to admire the wonderful oasis of RACHID, and TIDJIKJA, the capital city of TANGANT. Visit its local markets, old houses, and enjoy a camel riding party. Bivouac
Day 6
The trip takes you to MATMATA to meet the impressive last crocodiles of the SAHARA. Bivouac.
Day 7
Strolling around the beautiful magical desert of the Sahara. Bivouac.
Day 8
Departure for NOUAKCHOTT, the capital city of MAURITANIE. After visiting its local markets, we take the road back to Saint-Louis. Check in hotel Cap Saint Louis or similar.
Day 9
Rest and relax in the morning. In the afternoon you will have a city tour to discover the nice city island of Saint-Louis. Overnight in the same hotel.
Day 10
Check out in the morning and transfer to Dakar. You will visit Goree island in the afternoon and transfer to hotel Brazzerade or similar. Overnight.
Day 11
Transfer to Dakar International Airport. End of the tour:
